Job Profile

The company is looking for a Quality Inspector who will perform basic quality control testing and inspection of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials to ensure conformance with standards and determine if the product meets all requirements.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Previous quality inspection experience (a plus)
  • Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) – Certification (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collect data each shift to report defect types and quantities
  • Communicate with production employees the findings and how to properly repair defects
  • Inspect finished parts at the end of a production line for adherence to quality standards
  • Operate hoists and equipment as needed by work cell
  • Tag products that are determined to be acceptable with the corresponding information
  • Understand how to link written standards to physical parts
  • Use electronic equipment to log information retrieved from physical parts

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Computer numerical control (CNC) – Preferred
  • Must be a detail-oriented individual
  • Must be able to double-check your findings in the event of mismatched information collected
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills including being capable of working with others in the resolution of problems and getting the job done.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays

Safety Activities

  • Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc. as required
  • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
