Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for making sure that products meet standards of quality and safety.

Responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products. Of Record (POR) documentation

Education Level

• High School Diploma
• Technical Certification in a similar discipline (Mechanical Quality, Engineering Services, Others)

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of working in a production environment in electromechanical sub-assemblies or large integrated tools
• Experience working in a clean room environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• First Piece/First Article, Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process, final inspection
• Generates detail inspection and non-conformance reports as necessary.
• Measures Complex components, assemblies, and enclosures.
• Performs mechanical inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
• Raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts and assemblies

Inspection includes-

• Attain positive results and communication through team effort
• Audits Quality Control processes/programs to ensure compliance with standards
• Check documents for accuracy and compliance with requirements
• Develop inspection techniques and train Level 1 inspectors
• Inspection(s) could be internal or external (i.e. source inspections)
• Interfaces and provides support to other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality-related issues as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Read and interpret information from engineering drawings, travelers, specifications, and other documents to generate a complete and precise inspection report/record.
• Requires the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Strong organizational, problem-solving solving, and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to read and interpret specifications, standards, and engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Familiarity with Agile, and SAP ERP will be an advantage
• Intermediate level for mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards related to machining and basic knowledge of secondary processes such as paint, powder coating, plating, etc.
• Intermediate level of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance), must be able to independently and adequately interpret and apply GD&T to every job daily
• Intermediate math abilities
• Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software (must be computer literate)
• Must be able to calculate flat patterns and inspect precision sheet metal
• Must be able to operate manual CMMs independently and edit CMM programs to make necessary changes to run accurate programs successfully.
• Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications at a proficient level.
• Must be able to read and interpret weld symbols, call-outs, wiring, or crimping requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to use must hand-held tools (micrometers, calipers, others)
