Job Profile

The company (Arcosa Traffic Structures) is hiring a Quality Inspector who will perform basic quality control testing and inspection of standard parts, units, equipment, or material to ensure conformance with standards and determine if the product meets all requirements.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• CWI Certification (preferred)
• Level II UT Certification (preferred)
• Minimum of Level II MT Certification

Work Experience

• Possess experience in steel fabrication/welding
• Experience with AWS D.1.1 Structural Steel Welding Standards (preferred)
• Experience with welding inspection tools and measuring equipment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Fill in as needed so that production goals can be met
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Inspect coatings (Galvanizing/Paint) prior to shipment
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, the fit-up of assemblies, parts, and welds throughout the manufacturing process
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform magnetic particle inspection
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions

• The ability to tolerate high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• The work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
