Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Quality Supervisor who will be responsible for following the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures to ensure customer expectations are met. This includes both Quality Control and some Quality Assurance activities in support of all departments for cross-functional success.

Also, includes the supervision of the Quality Control Inspectors at the site as per the Organizational Chart.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Possess 3 years of QC Inspector experience or equivalent (preferred)
  • 5 years of welding experience, or equivalent training in the fabrication of steel products (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Able to work flexible schedules and overtime or weekends when needed
  • Apply problem-solving techniques or root-cause analysis
  • Complete incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Document and segregate non-conforming material and workmanship
  • Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
  • Ensure Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) are current and in place for projects
  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements
  • Follow all necessary TNS Document System procedures and processes.
  • Maintain AWS CSI and applicable certification
  • Maintain calibration and verification of tools and measuring equipment
  • Maintain the Welder Continuity Log
  • Organize and record quality-related training activities
  • Oversee the day-to-day quality activities in order to maintain and communicate facility and corporate metrics and objectives
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Record Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions in the SharePoint Quality Database
  • Represent the company, as needed, on-field issues requiring investigation and decisions associated with product quality and conformance.
  • Review Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions from the SharePoint Quality Database with Facility Management to identify and implement continuous improvement
  • Supervise and provide leadership for the Quality Control (QC) Inspectors.
  • Supervise or conduct Welder Qualification Test Reports (WQTR) to AWS or ASME
  • Verify Material Test Reports (MTRs) and similar documents for required information upon receipt of materials
  • Other duties as assigned.
