Job Profile

The company (Arcosa Wind Towers) is recruiting a Quality Supervisor who will oversee quality functions including inspection, procedural documentation, and all other related sub-functions.

This position reports directly to the Plant QA Manager.

Educational Qualification

  • Associate Degree in a Quality or Manufacturing-related discipline or equivalent (college/university)
  • Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • 3+ years in heavy steel fabrication and welding inspection or quality analysis
  • Experience with ISO quality systems
  • Expertise in relevant NDT methods (VT, UT, MT, PT)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Exercises independent judgment
  • Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations for solutions
  • Lead, train, coach, and develop Quality Department personnel on quality requirements, procedures, testing, and usage of measuring tools
  • Manage scheduling to ensure complete coverage of inspectors
  • Work with fellow department staff members (Operations, Maintenance, HR, Materials, Safety, etc.) to ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures internally and externally
  • Work with fellow staff members on root cause analysis and corrective action resolutions for identified issues and concerns
  • All other job duties as assigned or required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated successful experience leading a departmental function in a manufacturing facility
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
  • Salaried, full-time position

May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays

  • Work in plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds
