Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Quality Supervisor who will handle key tasks related to day-to-day management of all quality and production-related aspects of product verification, the development and launch of new products, drive continuous improvement, and reduction of quality costs.

Additional responsibilities related to the leadership of the Quality department and ensuring conformance to all customer and IATF 16949/ISO 9001 requirements.

Work Experience

  • At least 10 years in a Quality automotive manufacturing environment with knowledge in welding, assembly, and stamping processes.
  • Experience managing internal teams to improve production-related issues.
  • Experience managing suppliers and related supplier issues
  • Advanced Knowledge in Quality systems development, QSB+, and BIQS systems.
  • Experience with destruct testing, measurement, and metrology methods of inspection.
  • Prior experience implementing IATF 16949 procedures, APQP, PPAP submissions, GD&T, Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, Control Plans, Statistics, fixture Development, and independent work with tooling subcontractors.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional team meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Act as a champion/decision-maker for quality-related issues within the scope of responsibility
  • Advanced Knowledge in Quality systems development
  • Advanced Knowledge of customer and ISO9001:2015/IATF16949: 2016 requirements
  • Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Complies with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO14001)
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates urgency and the ability to work to meet deadlines and multiple demands
  • Directly or indirectly oversees the functions of approximately 30 persons within the quality weld verification, dimensional, production support, and engineering functions
  • Experience with destruct testing, measurement, and metrology methods of inspection
  • Lead all program launch activities from the quality perspective
  • Lead and coordinate tasks/responsibilities to production personnel regarding Quality issues.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer product and engineering specifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong liaison and communication skills within MEVS, Customer, and Supply base
  • Train and mentor quality and production personnel as required (Customer requirements, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis using various problem-solving techniques including Drill Deep, 8D, and 5 Phase.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic measurement tools (height gauge, vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, indicator, etc.).
  • Knowledge of BIW part-to-part build-up process.
