Job Profile

The company is seeking a Quality Systems Manager who will be responsible for defining, implementing, and oversight/audit of BU quality processes to ensure the BU is in compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory agency requirements and optimizing those processes to assist the BU in meeting sales and profit goals.

Leading major external audits such as AS9100, FAA, and EASA.

This position is also responsible for assisting other functions within the business in optimizing quality-related procedures and processes such as testing, inspection, and data collection.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical field from a college or university.

Work Experience

• Knowledge of and experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001
• NADCAP experience in welding, heat treating, inspection is a plus
• Proven systems implementation
• Significant auditing experience
• Training experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Advising other business functions on the most efficient methods to meet customer inspection, test, and data gathering requirements.
• Author, change, and update Management Systems Manuals and QA procedures as applicable.
• Chair Management Reviews and Risk Reviews
• Deploying continual improvement and problem-solving tools and practices across all levels of the organization to deliver business results.
• Maintain lead auditor certification.
• Manage and respond to customer surveys.
• Provide internal auditor training.
• Provide training in structured problem-solving.
• Providing leadership and expertise to implement, improve and maintain aerospace and military quality systems including compliance to AS9100, ISO9000, NADCAP, Customer, and FAA/EASA regulations
• Report to senior management on quality results, issues, trends, and losses.
• Schedule and lead internal audits
• Scheduling, preparing, and acting as the main contact during FAA inspections, customer audits, and other third-party Management System evaluations including AS9100 and Nadcap.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Technical writing skills
• Travel up to 50%

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
• Must be able to traverse the production floor safely.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
