Job Profile
The company is hiring a Quality Technician 1 (Southwest) who will be responsible for assuring that quality standards and procedures are disseminated and implemented throughout the company.
Perform and report on internal quality system audits and assists in the overall administration of the internal audit program.
The position will report directly to the Quality Manager and will administer the Company Quality Plan.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should be pursuing or graduated with an Undergraduate Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field from a college/university
Work Experience
- Possess ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI Certified and inspection experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Disseminate quality information in the office and on the intranet, send results to managers on a weekly basis, write monthly articles for the company newsletter, present information at department discipline meetings, etc.
- Draft and maintain a Project Quality Plan for any given project including the Quality activities required on a project and associated metrics
- Facilitate quality presentations
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis
- Help in the planning of and participation in, internal quality audits. Conduct reviews of required documents and support materials, interview staff, and administers online audit questions to assess compliance with documented procedures.
- Identify potential quality incidents before they arise
- Maintain a solid knowledge base of District Quality Manuals
- Maintain Client Critique Schedules, Tracking, and Trends
- Maintain Corrective Action Reports
- Mentor Project Quality Specialist
- Participate in district standards meetings and provide input/feedback as it relates to quality assurance.
- Provide administrative support for audits, other Quality Department programs and initiatives, and Monthly Operations Reviews.
- Provide updates to employees on client critique results
- Understand the requirements of ISO 9001 Standards.

- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
- Ability to travel and relocate as the business requires (25%-50%)
