Job Profile

The company is hiring a Quality Technician who will be responsible for performing or assisting in a variety of quality control and inspection work, ensuring that all standards, processes, specifications, codes, and regulations are met for overall customer satisfaction

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Journeyman Trade Certificate or equivalent experience with practical knowledge of supervising welding/fitting operations.
  • CET (welding) or equivalent experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists in determining processes and process improvement.
  • Inspect individual scope of work in progress and at completion to resolve repetitive rework and determine the root cause.
  • Controls all welder records and logs and verifies welding is completed as per approved CWB.
  • Coordinates and maintains the Joy Global Canada Quality Control program and manuals.
  • Coordinates document and quality control to ensure quality assurance goals are maintained.
  • Coordinates, compiles, and files all documents from the various projects and ensures that all requirements of the Quality Control program are completed on time.
  • Documents processes to ensure overall project consistency.
  • Executes the inspection and signoff of projects and worksheets.
  • Maintains relationships with third-party inspectors.
  • Provides quality control updates at production meetings as required.

  • Possesses conversant knowledge of CWB requirements.
  • Possesses intermediate computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
  • Possesses the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
  • SAP (preferred), Excel, Word, and email knowledge are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required
