Job Profile
The company is searching for a Radiographic NDT/NDE Inspector II who will analyze, interpret, and evaluate radiographs of materials, parts, and weldments to comply with required specifications and standards and develop radiographic techniques and standards.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 800 hours of NDT/NDE experience

Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to pass vision test requirements.
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate radiographic disclosures without comparative charts to determine the acceptability of materials, parts, and weldments.
- Detect and identify defects affecting quality and safety factors such as cracks, inclusions, segregations, cavities, undercuts, draws, incomplete fusion, and porosity.
- Determine the acceptability of items with marginal defects and reject those not complying with required standards and specifications.
- Develop work instructions from approved general procedures.
- Read and interpret information from planning documents, drawings and specifications, engineering orders, inspection procedures, material review reports, and other source documents to establish the procedures and requirements needed to perform radiographic inspection of material, parts, and weldments.
- Record test results, findings, and dispositions manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system.
- Reject items that do not meet acceptance criteria. Coordinate recurring defects with concerned engineering and vendor personnel and recommend corrective action measures.
- Set up and operate industrial X-ray and film processing equipment. Be familiar with the codes, standards, specifications, and other contractual documents that control the method. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks following the applicable process standard.
- Test and pass Level II certification in-house.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Preferred Skills-
- Certification as a Level 2 Radiographic Inspector, ASNT/NAS410 or equivalent.
- Computer experience to include accessing online documents and information, working within the company business systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience inspecting manual, automatic, and Electron Beam welds.
- Have a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- Prior X-ray and DR experience.
- Worked on Exotic materials and wall thickness up to 1 inch.
