Job Profile

The company is hiring a Repair Welder who will produce quality parts, on time, the first time to meet or exceed our customer requirements, while supporting the Magna Employee’s Charter and the policies and procedures of Kamtek.

Responsible for supporting safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to KAMTEK’s plant standards and upholding the Magna Employee’s Charter.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

  • 6-12 months of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper documentation of production and inventory using our CMS system.
  • Perform quality checks as required using QID, QIF, FO/LO Process, and Quality alerts as our guide.
  • Proficient in MIG welding and basic use of hand tools.
  • TLCQQ – Tagging Correct, Loaded Properly, Closed Properly, Quantity Correct, Quality Parts.
  • Visually evaluate welds for fusion, porosity, location, size, burn through, notching, or undercut.
  • Welding techniques to repair and complete existing welds

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of safety standards and welding codes
  • Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
  • Skilled in metal fabrication and equipment repair
  • Strong attention to detail and precision

Work Environment

  • May work in varying weather conditions if outdoors
  • Performs physically demanding tasks, often in tight or elevated spaces
  • Regularly exposed to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise
  • Wears protective gear and follows strict safety protocols
  • Works in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments
