Job Profile
The company is seeking a Research Engineer who will work in the interface of R&D and manufacturing.
Strong academic background, good communication skills, and an ability to contribute and work efficiently in periods of high workload are prerequisites.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants require a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Technology, or Equivalent from a college/university
Work Experience
- Experience in welded tubes or other metal joining/forming operations (a plus)
- Aluminum or copper manufacturing understanding/experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Define and propose innovative ideas and projects within the scope of I&T PT
- Develop processes and products for Precision Tubing
- Disseminate and implement projects findings and new technology
- Execute projects with a focus on on-time delivery, budget discipline, and communication with Steering Committee and stakeholders
- Plan projects; determine objectives, budget, and deliverables
- Support the development of the I&T PT department in miscellaneous administrative tasks and development activities
- 25% travel may be required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Finite Element and heat transfer simulation capabilities (a plus)
- Project management skills (a plus)
- Data analysis skills (a plus)
- Knowledge of six sigma and LEAN manufacturing principles (a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package
