The company is searching for a Robot Operator to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of technical training in robot welding operations

Work Experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Brace, clamp parts and perform specified tacking process as required to avoid distortion and for proper alignment for robotic welder
  • Follow all procedures and processes in accordance to weld manufactured parts defect-free product. Complete required in-process inspection, repair any defects found, and document critical quality information as necessary
  • Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Identify 100% of the part produced by stamping with individual employee numbers.
  • Input Maintenance Work Orders as necessary; Ability to input and scan work order data into MRP/JDE system using RF scanner, keyboard, and mouse
  • Load parts, secure fixtures, and run programs on the robotic welder to produce defined parts. Modify and edit defined programs to produce quality parts.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives
  • Maintain proper weld penetration and quality fit and overall dimensions of units and make adjustments to correct irregularities and deviations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Perform pre-work inspection of robot welder and complete any maintenance needed to run welder safely
  • Perform quality inspection on 100% of work product by using appropriate measuring tools to ensure defined tolerances and measurement within tolerances indicated on the blueprint.
  • Perform secondary functions (i.e. welding, grinding) to correct part(s) that do not conform to standards.
  • Place part on the machine, and apply appropriate weights to balance impeller weldments to indicated tolerances.
  • Verify material, and set up necessary fixtures as appropriate to complete the welding process

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
