Job Profile

The company is seeking a Robotic Welder who will be responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on metal parts and components.

Work closely with the production team to ensure all welding tasks are completed on time with the required specifications.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a Robotic Welder or a similar role
  • Fabricating experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
  • Ensure the work area is clean and safe
  • Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications
  • Follow instructions or directions given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects
  • Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
  • Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
  • Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools or brushes.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Manager.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings as needed
  • Uses equipment and supplies to perform work following operational standards.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Work as a team within the department and with other departments and Leads

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and bend for long periods.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,
  • Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, or respirators.
