Job Profile
The company is hiring a Robotic Welder Operator who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic welding equipment, including programming the robot, loading and unloading materials, monitoring the welding process, inspecting weld quality, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to produce welded metal components according to specifications.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
- Prior experience in manual or semi-automatic welding processes, like MIG or TIG welding
- Familiarity with robotic programming software (even if it is basic knowledge to modify existing programs)
Duties/Responsibilities
Safety-
- Ensure proper and effective operation of the machine and tools throughout the entire process. Report repairs or issues to the team lead or supervisor
- Follow all safety rules and adhere to the core values of a business
- Maintain general work areas or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
Quality-
- Able to self-monitor the quality of their work, and report to the lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
- Accurately document work performed using company-required documents and procedures
- Complete all tasks and work within the designed quality guidelines
- Confirm material, sizes, and parts match the work order/job tickets
- Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
Delivery-
- Able to create and modify robot welding programs using specialized software to define the welding path and parameters
- Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
- Diagnose and resolve minor issues with the robot and welding process
- Machine setup, positioning of fixtures, clamping parts, and setting welding parameters based on blueprints and work instructions
- Visually inspect welds for quality assurance, including checking for proper penetration, bead appearance, and dimensional accuracy

- Basic math skills

- Strong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Work Environment
- Lifting to 50 pounds with assistance
- Perform repetitive motions
- Plant environment with potential exposure to harsh weather, excessive heat/ cold, and/or excessive noise
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, and working at heights
