Job Profile
The company is looking for a Robotic Welding Operator who will be responsible for the welding of metal parts together using a robotic welding machine.
The position will report directly to the Welding Supervisor.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Robotic Welding Machines within the parameters of company safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Provide basic programming, setup, and operation of the Robotic Welding Machine
- Ability to learn new skills, and processes, and execute tasks without constant guidance.
- Visually inspect parts, before delivery to the next procedure.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Assist in the monthly inventory process.
- Uses MIG/Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production.
- Operates the equipment in a safe manner and reports hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Director and Maintenance Department.
- Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
- Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.
- Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
- Assist other individuals in the area when needed.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, quality assurance, and accuracy.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to climb and work from the ladder.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches.
- Ability to read, understand and explain blueprints.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing manual labor.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Good communication skills, relative to supervisor and other related departments.
- Knowledge of basic math skills including the ability to read and use tape measure, caliper, and micrometer to the fraction and decimals.
- Knowledge of wire welding processes and equipment.
- Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.
- Trained in forklift and overhead crane operation.
