Job Profile

The company is seeking a Roll Forming Operator who will play a crucial role in the manufacturability of our aerospace vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.

Responsible for developing and manufacturing aerospace aluminum panels through CNC machining and rolling processes.

Requires the candidate to be willing to learn these processes, have a great attitude, and a commitment to excellence in the aerospace industry.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Experience with metal fabrication techniques
• Experience with machining equipment (mill, lathe, etc.)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches
• Ensure to uphold 5S standards in the work center and follow clean-as-you-go practices
• Installing structural mechanical piece parts
• Loading and unloading panels or barrels with the use of overhead cranes
• Operating CNC Machining and roll-forming equipment to execute programs
• Perform precision blending using hand tools to prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation
• Performing panel dimensional inspections
• Performing visual material inspections
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing machinery process, which could include defects in materials, equipment malfunctions, or inefficiencies in production methods.
• Production Processes: Assist day-to-day production tasks which will include:
• Safety: Ensure all operations are being run following Relativity Space standards
• Teamwork: Foster an inclusive environment for all members of the team.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
• Proficient in the use of common inspection tools and hand tools
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field
• Effective communication skills
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, such as rolling and forming
• Experience with CNC, robotics, or machine programming
• Experience with rigging and crane operations
