Duties/Responsibilities

• Identify core that requires cutting on printed schedule, measure and set-up core to cut to width and length based on chart specifications, must know all core components and door stile/rail construction specs, be able to hold and cut up to 2 cores at a time, tape Measure use to 32th of an inch, validate accuracy of core before/after cuts, correct count, and in order of the schedule.
• Cut back floor report completed daily for inventory adjustments.
• Regularly occurring tasks: changing saw blades – certified lockout/tag out, use of small hand tools.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of door configuration specifications (rails/stiles) and correct sizing of core,
• Apply safety procedures, order tracking process and documents, all sizes and configurations, use of tape measure, set-up and operation of core saw, read instructions list/charts/diagrams.
• High degree of accuracy with no supervision.
• Read/interpret production schedule, advanced fractional math calculations, and configure core size according to rail/stile specs, perform visual quality checks, prepare and clean of saw, and set up the machine for use in cutting core.
• Self-motivated – high output demand.
• Skills in reading a tape measure/ calculating fractional math.

• High attention to detail and, intense degree of concentration are required to successfully perform the job.
• High core dust environment.
• Manually lift/slide/flip core materials (max. 80 lbs.), bending, lifting, twisting, pushing, pulling.
• Standing for long, continuous hours.
• Mildly controlled environment – can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions.
