Job Profile
The company is seeking a Senior Associate I (Manufacturing Engineering) who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing manufacturing engineering plans and projects to communicate to internal and external customers.
Execute the development of manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree (college/university) and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Work Experience
- Prior experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles desired, gage R&R, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Prior experience with using fastener torquing, staking, potting, laser welding, CNC machining, and assembly troubleshooting.
- Prior experience working in a highly regulated environment where required to interface across various functions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
- Statistical Analysis/Data Mining experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Comply with all company procedures including HazMat, LOTO, and safety.
- Effectively manage process and equipment improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of yield improvement and problem-solving throughout the entire fabrication, testing, assembly, packaging, and delivery process.
- Ensure performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability.
- Make sure decisions are data-driven, maintain a high level of manufacturing acumen and a strong understanding of statistical analysis (DOE, SPC, 6-sigma)
- Professionally communicate to various levels of the organization.
- Provide expert technical support and leadership to operators and technicians.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Proven ability to work independently while prioritizing, multi-tasking, and adapting to sudden changes in plans
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and drawing packages (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
