Job Profile

The company is hiring a Senior Fabrication Technician who will support everything from very large structural tests to precise valve actuation.

Design, build, and operate all test assets in Long Beach from initial concept to test execution.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• 10+ years of multi-process welding AC and DC (Certification required)
• Experience completing welds that pass visual before being X-rayed or DPI
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts
• Certification with D1.1 or LA City

Duties/Responsibilities

• Day-day responsibilities will be metal fabrication, fluid system fabrication, lifting and rigging, and working with engineering to improve area safety, processes, procedures, and efficiency.
• Fabricate test stands, tooling, and test fixtures required to test our launch vehicles.
• Interface with area lead, and prioritize work based on test schedule and organizational goals.
• Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned to ensure an efficient operation.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions
• Able to work on a multi-disciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in welding with one or more of the following materials: stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum, or titanium
• Self-starter, highly motivated working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles.
