Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for accounting and analysis activities for corporate departments. This includes journal entry processing, analysis, reporting, and customer service job duties.

Must be able to effectively and professionally work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

The principal duties of this role will be to support the financial and analytical processes for corporate functions at Johnson Controls.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 3 years of accounting/analysis experience in a large multi-national company
  • SAP/HFM experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist cost center owners to ensure adherence to plan/forecast
  • Assist in dispute resolution for intercompany charges for corporate functions
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for management staff
  • Assist with analysis of monthly financial results to determine trends
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of the annual operating budgets and capital budgets for corporate functions
  • Creation of new processes and improvements as required in a constantly changing environment
  • Help budget owners understand their results and assist with finance/accounting questions
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for the areas of responsibility
  • Prepare monthly/recurring journal entries, analysis, and intercompany forms for Corporate
  • Prepare quarterly reporting schedules for the Corporate Reporting team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of intercompany accounting concepts
  • Commitment to excellent customer Service
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills (required)
  • Exhibits professional demeanor and emotional maturity
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-driven and organized; able to balance short and long-term deliverables
  • Strong analytical skills and research capabilities
  • Team player with excellent communication skills (required)
