Job Profile

The company is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician who will perform various tasks, including repairs or adjustments on sophisticated and basic equipment.

Perform general preventative maintenance on all equipment, including diagnosing and repairing robotic arc and spot welders, lasers, turrets, and brake presses.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Continued education, such as an associate degree in a related field or professional certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Job or specific customer certifications (may be required)
  • Must complete Bloodborne Pathogen safety training, lockout tagout, and confined space entry training courses within 1 year.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance personnel on machine repairs as needed.
  • Assist in the repair of robots, including pneumatic repairs, hydraulic repairs, and electrical and electronic repairs.
  • Assist senior maintenance personnel as needed or as assigned.
  • Clean machine work areas when work has been completed, removing debris left from maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in NC and CNC machine tools and robotics, including central and subsidiary electronic control panels or units.
  • Maintain a safe work environment (i.e., personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, etc.).
  • May assist in training new employees in similar maintenance roles.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of equipment as needed.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on machines, perform basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry repairs, and diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on robotic welders, diagnose/repair robotic arc and spot welders, and perform structural or repair work to the building and grounds.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machines that are assigned, as scheduled, or as needed.
  • Use a wide variety of electronic and electrical testing devices.
  • Work with other senior maintenance personnel to acquire skills that will be matched to incoming new technology and complex machinery.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Valid fork truck operator’s license or ability to acquire one within 30 days.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must have full use of hands and fingers.
  • May require walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Work Environment

  • Job includes working in a manufacturing facility.
  • Job could consist of running machinery or equipment.
  • Must be capable of working independently to perform duties as outlined. Must demonstrate a good safety record and adherence to plant and departmental safety regulations.
