Job Profile
The company is searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will use the fundamentals of metal fabrication to define the processes for building a heat exchanger.
Typically work in an integrated product development team to ensure the functional requirements will meet the internal and external customers’ expectations.
Education Level
- Typically requires a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience or in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Work Experience
- Experience using code/script tools
- Experience with additive manufacturing fabrication techniques
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, brazing, and welding techniques
- Experience with Solumina or other manufacturing software
- Experience with tooling for manufacturing and testing
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators with understanding the requirements and processes to fabricate the heat exchanger.
- Generate inputs for tooling or generate definitions for tooling to support the fabrication of heat exchangers.
- Generate processes for fabrication that meet the functional requirements including:
- Generate sheets that derive functional requirements down to a piece part for a supplier to be able to produce.
- Stacking, Brazing, welding, machining, assembly, and testing.
- Support other functions in fabricating the heat exchanger for inspections, testing braze/weld certification, and other operations for the fabrication of the heat exchanger.
