Job Profile
The company is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will identify, coordinate, and implement activities with all functional areas that contribute to new, improved, or more efficient technologies, processes, and product designs.
Education Level
- Educational requirements include a 4-year Degree, preferably BSME, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related field.
- Training in Basic Accounting, Problem Solving, and Decision Analysis is essential.
Work Experience
- At least 10 years in a heavy equipment machining and assembly environment with progressive responsibilities.
- Significant experience manufacturing high-speed rotating equipment (desired)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Through capital planning justifications, the incumbent will assist in preparing for new manufacturing technology and complicated technical systems and provide the necessary skills for the successful completion of capital projects.
- Develops work instructions and procedures ensuring consistency in manufacturing and assembly of the products produced. As required, issue emergency engineering instructions.
- Provides technical liaison between manufacturing and engineering to ensure a design-to-cost approach and manufacturability of components parts within the ISO quality requirements.
- Monitors and analyzes costs and recommends corrective and preventative action as required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, State-of-the-art Machining, Assembly, Manufacturing Techniques, and Tool Design.
- Working knowledge of CAD, CAM, and Related systems, non-traditional machining processes, welding, balancing, and inspection techniques.
