Job Profile
The company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing/Process Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing Compressor Products International’s (CPI’s) machined products from initial blending/compression molding to machining and assembly of finished product.
Responsible for ensuring our machined products meet the various quality, design, and safety standards for their intended applications.
Lead problem-solving efforts and support the development of a problem-solving culture including the utilization of Lean methodologies.
Education Level
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
Work Experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience with CNC machined products within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP software; i.e., setting up Bills of Material and Routes/Methods.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of capital investment and continuous improvement projects that provide customer value.
- Create/Update BoMs, Engineering Drawings, Work Instructions, and other engineering-related documentation as required.
- Develop or document new tooling and processes that promote safe working practices and meet business requirements.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of process improvement planning, design, and implementation including validation of proposed process changes.
- Participate in cross-functional groups to implement new products and processes.
- Prepare and review project proposals and technical reports for improvement projects from internal and external sources.
- Re-engineer existing processes using Lean principles to eliminate waste and reduce lead times.
- Use data to resolve complicated process problems systematically via root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the manufacturing of fluoropolymer-based molded and machined products.
- Considerable experience with Manufacturing Process Engineering and Quality Engineering responsibilities for CNC Machined products.
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies; Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Proficient with various inspection techniques (automated & manual), tooling, and methodologies.
- SolidWorks proficiency.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- hands-on person with a passion for process improvement
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling software (required)

- Noisy/Loud Shop Environment
- Some Outdoor/Shop Environment
- Travel < 10%, within the U.S. Role is primarily on-site, with some remote work possible.
