Job Profile

The company is searching for a Senior Pipeline Operator who will be responsible for leading the operations and maintenance of pipeline facilities, compressor stations, LNG pump stations, measurement facilities and equipment, and basic instrumentation and controls in an assigned area of the district comprising several miles of varying pipeline sizes and associated facilities

Will be required to utilize people skills and task prioritizing skills for scheduling and at times directing contract personnel.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess 7+ years of pipeline operations or maintenance experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in cost control of pipeline operations and maintenance in assigned area
  • Assist with daily pipeline operational and maintenance activities such as locating pipelines, running pipeline pigs, change charts, assisting in blowdowns and tie-ins, compression, dehydration, lockouts, tag outs, stop-start and load compressor teaming systems, change valves, and CO2 treating in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters.
  • Complete appropriate documentation and reporting for inspection and maintenance, safety, regulatory, etc.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and inspect the maintenance or construction of minor pipeline facilities in the district or region
  • Maintain accurate measurement of gas into and out of an assigned area of the pipeline district
  • Maintain typical pipeline equipment, basic measurement equipment, valves, etc.
  • Responsible for leading proper operation and maintenance of pipeline facilities in accordance with Company procedures/policies and DOT regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
  • Experience leading other operators and building team relationships
  • Fundamental knowledge of instrumentation and controls associated with LNG and natural gas pipeline operations Required
  • Good knowledge and/or experience with cathodic protection, measurement, and/or SCADA equipment Required
  • Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining LNG and natural gas pipeline and station facilities Required
  • Must be capable of performing duties independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have basic computer skills to use Company e-mail, company-issued software, and hardware, and produce electronic reports
  • Must pass pre-employment background, driving record, drug screening and is subject to random DOT drug testing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to work a rotating shift schedule, be on 24 hours call as needed, and work relief coverage for both Plant operations and truck loading duties
