Job Profile

The company is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and deploying work procedures and associated process controls as it relates to quality.

Review customer/industry/internal specifications to ensure compliance.

Facilitate quality processes for the transfer of work to and from our facility.

This role is part of a high-performance work team and will work closely with operations and front-end new product development.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality function within an Aerospace or Automotive environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
  • Contract reviews, providing manufacturing support, PPAP, auditing, and corrective action investigations.
  • Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes to meet Aerospace standards.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions including verification activities.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards. Ensure these documents align with the recognized Aerospace Quality System Standard as well as Eaton’s Objectives, Policies, and Procedures
  • Host Customer and Third Party Auditors as needed.
  • Lead or provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects/problem-solving teams/product development teams.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers, suppliers, and inspectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a quality engineer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Technical proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) models
  • Thorough understanding of machining, welding, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Relocation benefits are available for those within the United States willing to relocate to Beltsville, MD. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
