The company is looking for a Senior Engineer Quality to join its team.
Educational Qualification
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or a technical field (required)
Work Experience
- Requires 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, including audit, and in-depth understanding of quality concepts and principles.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external audits for compliance with ISO 9001, nondestructive testing, welding, and calibration requirements.
- Be the point person on customer audits of CIRCOR Naval Solutions.
- Conduct contract reviews on customer, Navy, and government contracts to define requirements.
- Interpret ASTM, Military, DFARS, and FAR specifications to assure process compliance.
- Evaluate incoming and in-process materials for acceptance of applicable material specifications.
- Evaluate hardware for acceptance of blueprint requirements.
- Manage the notification to customers and government source inspection personnel for order shipment.
- Conduct hardware reviews and software package preparation to support customer and government source inspection shipment activity.
- Prepare and respond to customer escapes and corrective action requests (CAR).
- Drive continuous improvement through the utilization of CIRCOR Operating System (COS) tools.
- Work with manufacturing to ensure product quality is achieved and maintained.
- Develop, create, edit, and implement special processes and quality system procedures.
- Create, complete, and maintain customer-required documentation and archive according to customer requirements.
- Ensure a strong communication path is created with manufacturing.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- ASQ Quality Engineer Certification (preferred)
- Machining and blueprint interpretation skills are a must
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt (preferred)
- Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 GD&T
- Knowledge of the Defense Industry and prior experience with DOD Contractors is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen to meet US Defense requirements and must be able to obtain a DOD clearance.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Experience with standards such as ISO9001, and AWS welding requirements and inspection (preferred)
