Educational Qualification
- Applicants should be Marine SSSIC Certified
Work Experience
- Possess 6 years and above experience in HVACR/Marine Refrigeration Systems, AC Chiller – Screw, Centrifugal, Provision Plants, Reefer Plants, LNG, Fishing, Vessel Process Plants, Pipe Installation/Supervision – HFC, NH3, CO2, Alignment with a dial gauge, feeler gauge, laser, Welding/Soldering, Vibration, and Flow Measurement
- NTC 2/3 in Refrigeration or relevant industry experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure that experience is passed on to the rest of the FLSP team through mentoring and training
- Carry our service work to the highest possible standard in line with JCI policy & procedures and industry-recognized best practices
- Carry out comprehensive plant audits for Marine refrigeration systems and write a detailed report explaining the plant condition, observations, and recommendations
- Carry out service, maintenance, commissioning, overhauling, troubleshooting, installation, warranty repair, and any other specialist service on the complete range of JCI and other manufacturers’ Marine refrigeration equipment
- During your day-to-day work in the field, actively identify and promote new/additional services, parts, and products to our customers and feedback either verbally or via your service report of potential opportunities to the relevant person in the service office
- Ensure service reports are completed fully and to a good standard on completion of each service order or in cases where the duration of the work is in excess of one week, service reports must be submitted on a weekly basis
- Ensure service work is completed safely and efficiently at all times with minimum callback and warranty expense
- Ensure the continued and sustainable growth of our maintenance base through customer relationship building with new and existing customers
- Ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained at any job site at all times including but not limited to JCI staff
- Maintain service vehicle and any other tools or equipment assigned to you in good condition
- Supervise subcontractors working on behalf of JCI
- Travel throughout South East Asia and other regions shore and offshore as required by the business in order to service the customer base
- Perform any other duties from time to time, whether ad-hoc or otherwise

- ASHRAE standards knowledge
- Health and Safety knowledge
- Marine Refrigeration products and systems knowledge
- Refrigerants knowledge
- Screw, Centrifugal, and Reciprocating compressor knowledge
- PLC and microprocessor control knowledge, SE 700/2000/2200, Siemens S7/Vipa, 1200, Radar, Old Staltronic Controls, Prosab, Unisab S/2/3, SabvisualValid driving license.
