Job Profile

The company is searching for a Senior Robot Operator who will fabricate and weld high-value aerospace components.

Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of process and design engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes resulting in hardware quality.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of direct experience
  • AWS D17.1 certification

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Design support and fabrication tooling required for welding and assembly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers
  • Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and industry specifications
  • Safely work within an industrial environment
  • Support/prepare parts for post-weld inspection processes such as dye penetrant, X-ray, and chemical treatments
  • Weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning parts
  • Welding of aerospace stainless steel and aluminum to blueprint and industry specifications using manual or automatic equipment

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to climb ladders, and stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to develop and fabricate fixtures and tooling
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to troubleshoot welds and welding equipment
  • Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required

Desired Qualifications

  • 15+ years of direct experience
  • Orbital Welding experience
  • Plasma or oxyacetylene cutting experience
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill)
  • Crane operator/lift coordinator experience
  • NDT experience
