Job Profile
The company is seeking a Service Repair Technician to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude is required.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicate updates on equipment to the Supervisor
- Complete shop maintenance during downtime
- Enter jobs into the computer system in alignment with company processes
- Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments as required to perform repairs and maintenance
- Order parts
- Perform some welding and fabrication as required (Mig, Stick, plasma, torch cutting)
- Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
- Service or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Work in alignment with all company and OSHA safety policies
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to assemble components per drawings or verbal or written instructions.
- Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and work instructions pro
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum system.
- maintain a clean and safe workplace, must work in a manner deemed safe for self and others.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications,
- Willingness to work overtime when requested.
