The company is looking for a Service Technician (welding) to join its team.

Education Level

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; and performing acceptance tests.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedules; investigating complaints; conducting tests; and resolving problems.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; and reading professional publications.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment and job sites may be loud.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move continually during working hours.
  • Subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
  • Involve sitting for various periods of time, and also requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day.
