Job Profile

The company is looking for a Shaper Operator who will set up and operate machines for external and internal gears, according to routing instructions and part drawings.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 2 years of machining experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and supervisors in making improvements to parts, methods, fixturing, and workplace organization for continuous improvement.
• Check the dispatch list and follow the top job on the list.
• Check the router, and assemble tooling.
• Finish operation and protect parts from damage.
• Machine the parts, inspect, and document as required.
• Make out a move ticket to send the part to the next operation. Move parts as necessary.
• Obeys all safety rules, wears proper PPE, and adheres to 6S standards.
• Perform all daily TPM activities as required.
• Program and edit CNC as required.
• Send part to Inspection for charting, if necessary.
• Set up the machine per the set-up sheet, run to recommended feeds and speeds, and verify the cutter.
