Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment with other departments after sheet metal installation
• Develops and maintains records for projects and repairs
• Inspect products for compliance with specifications, quality standards, and requirements
• Install, alter, and repair sheet metal products and equipment ducts and hoods for HVAC systems
• Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions
• Selects appropriate material for each job based on desired or necessary strength.
• Utilizing blueprints, drawings, and work orders

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
• Be able to read blueprints and schematics to understand product specifications
• Complete sheet metal projects with accuracy and precision
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks including standing/walking for long periods, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Safely operate machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work
