Job Profile

The company is looking for a Sheet Metal Mechanic who will assist in the continued growth of metal forming at EA Patten Company.

Educational Level

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• 3+ years of Aerospace sheet metal experience as well as Proto Trak milling machines.
• Deburr experience (use of abrasive and finishing buffing wheels)
• Experience in production and development
• Riveting experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to develop new and old processes for productivity improvements.
• Must be able to develop processes from reading blueprints and Work instructions.
• Press Brake setup and operation
• Set up press fixtures on time.
• Setup and Operate Shear – manage work orders and material type.
• Setup and operation on bending and sheet metal forming equipment (Expanders, hydraulic forming presses, band saws, light/heavy deburring)
• Use hand fabrication skills to ensure parts are properly formed, and free of sharp edges.
• Work on daily priorities/Manage schedule changes.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use Band saw and cut to scribe templet lines.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, indicators, tape measures, pie tapes, and go-no-go gages.
• Able to work with limited supervision and relay feedback.
• Active participation in team meetings and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain a Clean work environment.
• Work well with Others this is a Team atmosphere.
