Job Profile

The company is searching for a Shop Foreman who will assist in leading a maintenance enterprise at a Trench Safety branch. And primarily coordinate the activities of the yard and shop personnel who provide labor assistance to the sales staff, plus diagnosing and supervising the repair and assembly of Trench Safety equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Trade School Training (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools

Duties/Responsibilities

• Diagnose all equipment in the rental fleet appropriately utilizing schematics or engineering tabulated data
• Monitor, train and supervise employees to ensure that work is done correctly
• Plan, organize, and schedule Equipment Associates and Welders activities as needed; delegate tasks, and enforce safety procedures
• Supervise the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment at branch or customer locations; order needed parts when necessary
• When required, travel to customer site for repair/maintenance of rental or owned equipment, assist in the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other United Rentals, Inc. locations for purchase and repair
• Other duties assigned as needed

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Diligent attention to safety
• Knowledge of proper hydraulic and pneumatic testing procedures
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Working knowledge of trench safety-related products and applications
