Job Profile
The company is seeking a Shop Millwright/Fabricator who will assist in installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving machinery at our sites and shops.
Assist with various capital improvement projects, possibly involving welding, machine operating, cutting, electrical/hydraulic work, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess industrial/general maintenance or millwright experience (preferred)
- Steel fabrication experience (preferred)
- 2-5 years – Industrial/General Maintenance (preferred)
- 2-5 years – Millwright (preferred)
- 2-5 years – Steel Fabrication (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, and wind).
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot issues and order required parts
- Communicate with the supervisor/manager on the status of equipment and projects.
- Fabrication of steel, including welding, machining, cutting, and forming.
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery at our sites and shops.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operation of overhead cranes, mobile cranes, and forklifts as training allows.
- Perform LOTO and complete proper documentation when needed
- Procure sufficient parts for equipment in cooperation with the supervisor and site maintenance.
- Prompt and dependable attendance
- Read tape measure to 1/16”
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required
- Work at elevations up to 30 feet
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and be dependable and trustworthy.
- Ability to operate a fuel-cutting torch and plasma cutting.
- Basic computer skills
- Be familiar with the correct and safe methods of rigging material and equipment.
- Complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
- Comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and fluid power knowledge and experience(a benefit)

- Familiar with GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding processes.
- Familiar with the various methods of forming holes, various grinders, turning lathes, and milling machines.
- Find a solution for or deal proactively with work-related problems
- Mechanical knowledge and experience.
- Self-starter to perform a task to the best of your ability using your own drive or initiative.
- Understand electrical control.
