Job Profile

The company is seeking a Shop Supervisor who will coordinate a team in repairing, building, and testing designs; achieving on-time delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Possess experience with fabrication (welding, assembly, machining, etc.)
• Experience with design tools such as Autodesk Inventor (an asset)
• Experience working with engineers in a production environment

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, and termination activities
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of jigs, test stands, and prototypes
• Communicate with the engineering teams
• Create and improve systems and processes to improve shop output and quality
• Create training documentation to ensure hires can be quickly and successfully onboarded
• Ensure the shop stays clean and stocked with the required equipment
• Remove roadblocks preventing project success
• Schedule and organize shop activities
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lead, motivates, and grow a team
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Ability to take initiative with time management and organization skills
• Attention to detail
• Class 5 License
• Proficiency in Office365
• Understanding of lean principles
