Job Profile
The company is looking for a Shop Technician who will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing commercial trash compactors.
Educational Qualification
- Not mentioned, High School Diploma (a plus)
- Powered Lift Truck Certification (preferred)
Work Experience
- Hands-on experience operating a press brake, hydraulic shear, band saw, plasma cutter, and gas cutting torch (required)
- Proven experience in wire welding, specifically on mild steel (required)
- Experience in repairing hydraulic cylinders, motors, and pumps
- PLC logic and control wiring experience (a plus)
- Welding experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Comply with all Wastequip WRX safety standards and procedures
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on commercial trash compactors
- Execute PLC logic and control wiring, when applicable
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate press brake, hydraulic shear, band saw, plasma cutter, and gas-cutting torch
- Perform wire welding on mild steel
- Repair hydraulic cylinders as needed
