Job Profile

The company is looking for a Shop Technician who will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing commercial trash compactors.

Educational Qualification

  • Not mentioned, High School Diploma (a plus)
  • Powered Lift Truck Certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Hands-on experience operating a press brake, hydraulic shear, band saw, plasma cutter, and gas cutting torch (required)
  • Proven experience in wire welding, specifically on mild steel (required)
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic cylinders, motors, and pumps
  • PLC logic and control wiring experience (a plus)
  • Welding experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Comply with all Wastequip WRX safety standards and procedures
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on commercial trash compactors
  • Execute PLC logic and control wiring, when applicable
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Operate press brake, hydraulic shear, band saw, plasma cutter, and gas-cutting torch
  • Perform wire welding on mild steel
  • Repair hydraulic cylinders as needed
