Job Profile

The company is seeking a Shot Blaster to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Previous experience with sandblasting, shot blasting, or auto painting (required)
  • Must be mechanically and technically inclined

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in Crane Operation as needed
  • Assist in masking/taping and UV as needed
  • Complete appropriate paperwork/log books
  • Ensure high-quality products with visual quality check
  • Follow facility safety regulations
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment
  • Maintain and operate shot blasting equipment properly and safely
  • May train as a backup painter
  • Pull and read product blueprints for blast knowledge
  • Shot blast poles using a shot blast hose
  • Wear required personal protective equipment including supplied air hood (must pass a FIT and PFT)
  • Work closely with the Long Side Finishing Department

  • Minimum six months experience using a forklift or overhead crane

Work Environment

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.,
  • Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold, and carry for various periods
  • Able to wear required PPE at all times: Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest, long sleeves, long pants, steel-toed boots with built-in met guards, fresh air feed hood, face shield
