Job Profile

The company is seeking a Structural Fitter to join its team for shop positions.

Per diem and relocation are not available for this position!

Educational Qualification

• No education level is mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• 1 to 4 years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Possess industrial maintenance experience as well as industrial pipe fitting experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Read Blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols.
• Must be able to read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for offshore drilling jackets and decks.
• Use Come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industry tools and equipment, and install, use, and remove stop plates, dogs, and pad eyes.

Qualification Standards

• Hazard Communication orientation/test
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Written pre-employment qualification test

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Physical Involvement

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level, maintaining balance on ladders, scaffold structures, etc.
• Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, or overhead.
• Carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling, seeing with or without correction, hearing with or without correction.
