The company is searching for a Sub Arc Welder to join its team.
Education Level
- Graduation from high school, military schools, vocational school, recognized craftsman apprenticeship program, or equivalent
Work Experience
- At least 5-10 years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades, including the ability to use tools, materials, and methods.
License/Certification
- Current welding certifications (recently expired certifications may be acceptable, contingent upon the ability to requalify before employment successfully)
- OSHA 10-hour safety course (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervision
- Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors that conform to all safety policies and procedures, follow all OSHA safety regulations, and wear prescribed PPE as required.
- Comply with all Keystone Tower Systems Company and Safety policies and procedures.
- Embrace a culture of Lean Manufacturing and the implementation of change
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Perform most of the work individually. Essential tools and welding equipment will be provided; however, accountability and maintenance will be the employee’s responsibility
- Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management
- Weld, grind, and repair each Wind Tower section before presenting it to the Quality Inspectors. This person will also repair all weld defects as directed by the Quality Inspectors
- Work from the directions of the supervisor to move Wind Tower sections, set up and operate the Mig welders, follow and complete the daily build schedule.
- Work timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time product without manufacturing errors
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
- Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
