Job Profile

The company is searching for a Substation Electrician who will be responsible for the construction/maintenance of the distribution and transmission of electrical power.

Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.

Education Level

• May require a High School Diploma

Work Experience

• 3 or more years of direct experience (required)
• Familiarity with 12KV to 500K substation experience (required)
• Must have D1.2, F5 welding certifications
• Must have Journeyman Lineman Certification or equivalent experience and state-endorsed Class A or B CDL.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Backfill, trench, and perform final-grade installations including station stone
• Familiarity with 12KV to 500K
• Install conduit, grounding, and foundations
• Install equipment, install aluminum buss work, above grade conduits, and install and terminate control cable.
• Must be willing to work in all-weather elements, meet all work scheduled hours as well as overtime as required with short notice.
• Operation of heavy equipment is considered a plus.
• Perform skilled duties related to the installation and maintenance of all voltages of electrical power line systems and equipment in addition to electrical substation construction and maintenance.
• Read and interpret construction prints and specs
