Job Profile

The company is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will manage the supplier quality performance issues, serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment.

Takes functional leadership and professional development from the EWIS supplier Quality Team.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing with a minimum of 2 years of dealing with Supplier Quality
  • 5 years of experience interpreting technical drawings and technical specifications
  • A minimum of 1 year in quality concepts and principles based on ISO9001/AS9100, including auditing and 8D, A3, problem-solving techniques (AS 13000)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier Audits
  • Handle escape including root cause investigation, containment, and corrective actions, and serve as the “boots on the ground” for suppliers in his/her assigned region.
  • Lead quality improvement projects with the suppliers assigned to
  • Participate in supplier quality performance monitoring, including data analysis and prioritization.
  • Support in supplier feedback
  • Work with the procurement team to build feasible relationships with suppliers.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Aerospace or Automotive Quality Engineering
  • GKN Experience
  • Lead auditor training/certificate
  • Target-oriented and outgoing with good communication/diplomatic skills
  • Trained and demonstrated skills in APQP, PPAP, and process variation management ( AS 9145 and 13000 series )
  • Well-organized and structured with strong skills to work both independently, and in a team
  • Working knowledge of generic manufacturing processes, (injection, extrusion, Machining, Casting, welding)
