Job Profile

The company is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Analyst who will conduct cost/price analyses using statistical tools, market trend data, and parametric models.

Prepare strategies and lead price negotiations with suppliers, review Statement of Work (SOW) packages and develop pricing instructions, matrices, and bid instructions for the Request for Quote/Request for Proposals (RFQ/RFP).

Apply quantitative analysis in the development of supplier pricing and analytical models.

Identify statement of work and determine model coverage.

Conduct financial, operational, proposal, and procedural audits of supplier data and systems.

Develop estimates from historical data, parametric analysis, and technical requirements.

Prepare Priced Bill of Material estimates, perform risk and opportunity analysis and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher education from a college/university

Work Experience

  • Possess prior cost analysis experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyze supplier proposals to determine a fair and reasonable price position
  • Communication and presentation skills needed
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain
  • Develop and improve cost analysis templates and tools
  • Substantiate cost estimates and prepare recommendations for support of supplier and customer negotiations.
  • Ability to travel if needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • University coursework or experience in a business or technical-related function including but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, Business Operations, Procurement Financial Analysis
  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Typical Qualifications

  • Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s) and typically 6 or more years of related work experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Masters plus 4 years of related work experience, 10 years of related work experience, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office (for example Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Be emerging Cost Analysts
  • Willingness to learn, think critically, and exhibit initiative
  • Ability to establish links, and also act independently
