Job Profile
The company is hiring a Swiss Setup Machinist with experience in operating Citizen machines.
Responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating Swiss-style CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
Requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Technical certification or apprenticeship in machining (preferred)
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience as a Swiss Setup Machinist (preferred) with specific expertise in operating Citizen machines
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Maintain an accurate count of workpieces produced and report production progress as required.
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Set up and configure Swiss-style CNC machines, primarily Citizen machines, according to job specifications and blueprints.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to walk, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
