Job Profile

The company is seeking a Tacker to join its Fabrication team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or related area

Duties/Responsibilities

• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
• Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify the supervisor/lead or maintenance department.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job’s needs.
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, or work orders.
• Set up, and lay out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts or rework finished products.
• Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
• Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
• Perform welding duties using a wire welder.
