Job Profile

The company is looking for a Team Leader (Weld Dept.) who will help to lead and coach the production team in the obtainment of daily standard work requirements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Morale.

Assists with root cause/problem-solving for quality and delivery issues.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Experience

• Forklift Certified
• Lock-out/Tag-out (certified)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic gage and visual checks of parts being produced in the work zone.
• Ensure that the production schedule and JRFP are being followed.
• Ensure that safety rules are followed and report any abnormal conditions to group leaders or department management immediately.
• Escalate issues that are causing downtime and loss of productivity.
• Fill in and run production when necessary to support (restroom breaks and absenteeism)
• Maintain hour-by-hour boards in the assigned work zone
• Verify label information and pack-out quantities are correct. Sign off on the label prior to authorizing movement from the work cell.
• Verify product being produced in the assigned work zone conforms to customer requirements.
• Verify that team members are performing checks according to the quality checklist.
• Work with production team members to ensure that the hourly production rates are achieved

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Computer knowledge (MS Office Suite)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of robotic welding and welding processes
• PLEX: Able to perform basic inventory, label, and production transitions in Plex
• Reliable: Maintains good attendance performance
