The company is recruiting a Test Technician who will assist R&D engineers in new product development.
Education Level
For Technician II
- Vocational Training and 3+ years of experience (required)
- GED with 5+ years in a related field. (but does not require a university degree)
For Technician III
- Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment (required)
- High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience in a relevant work environment
Work Experience
- Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise Works within standard operating procedures or scientific methods
- Must be experienced with, or willing to learn, surface-mount soldering for small-scale electronics assembly and reworks.

- Easy to get along in a group and team environment.
- Electrical/electronic experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
- Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
- Work in Machine R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design, construction, and testing of welding products.
- Use data acquisition systems, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation of documentation.
- Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (training provided as needed).
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s Future Strategy.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics, and test specifications.
- Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with supervision and clear instructions.
- Familiarity with personal computers using the Windows® operating system.
- Ability to use common laboratory equipment.
- Able to maintain detailed test records.
- Good attendance record.
- Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.
- Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes
- Highly motivated, quick to learn, and safety conscious.
- Ability to organize and maintain a neat work area.
- Works with a moderate degree of supervision
