Job Profile

The company is looking for a Thermal Finisher (Welder) who will perform activities related to melting, casting, and tempering steel products.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma

Work Experience

• 1 or more years of previous experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Operate torch to remove excess material from all casting families.
• Proficiently identify and repair casting defects in assigned workstations (yokes, knuckles, or couplers)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Proficiently perform carbon arcing

Working Conditions

• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Work in plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas, and plant grounds.

Safety Activities

• Be aware of and observe all safety practices, including but not limited to Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc. as required
• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned
